Classroom Discipline 101

Below are some success stories and reviews teachers have sent me.

What Teachers Say About Classroom Discipline 101

'Thanks again for a new great discipline method, Craig.

I've tried your first 2 rules and I am getting good response to my challenging students. They are now getting into my routine using the rules. I am now happy that my challenging students are becoming a successful learner with calm and respectful

behaviour. I really owe that to you.'

'All I can say is ‘amazing’.  I just couldn’t get the behaviour in the classroom I was looking for…quiet, focused, respectful over an extended period of time.  BUT the most amazing change has come this week, when I got the students to write the rules and explained each one and the consequences.  The students seemed so much more secure and settled with knowing exactly what to do and when.  Organization is definitely my best friend!  I am only in my first year (first 5 weeks actually having a full-time class).

This class I was given after 2 other teachers had left they (the students) were so difficult to manage..but just since this Monday morning implementing the 101 Methods, WOW, what a difference.  All I can say is ‘amazing’.  I was coming home exhausted and frustrated.  Now I come home elated and empowered and the students seem so much happier AND even better, the teaching and learning is happening so much more effectively.

I asked a couple of teachers that passed my room at the end of the day, “How was your day?”

With exhausted faces, they said, “I made it to the end of the day”, whereas I had had a lovely day!  Sooooo, Craig, thank you more than you can imagine.  Two weeks ago I was asking myself if I’d made a mistake (getting into teaching)..this week I have vision again.  Your book was money well spent…worth every penny.'

‘I was looking for middle school teaching ideas on the English component when behavior was mentioned and someone posted about your book and how effective it was.  I was skeptical as I have tried several programs and invested hundreds of dollars on books on behavior and engagement with little success… I thought I had nothing to lose.  I was happy to see that an audio book came with the

book.  The minute I heard your voice and ideas I knew we were on the same page and you had experience with my student population.

'The results are unbelievable. My principal was wary of all these rules but he allowed it.  I have called him several times to visit the class in these last three days.

Each time he has been blown away!  My fellow teacher can't stop smiling and is wondering if he is being "punked"!   We are so happy and can't wait to have this

climate continue.'

Again many thanks for your program,

Maureen W.

 Dear Craig,

Your book is awesome! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us. I am amazed at how effective this is in the classroom(s) My  project kids are even starting to thank me for giving them rules and

enforcing those rules. They say it shows I actually care about them. Most

of them are not given rules at home nor do they face consequences if they

break those rules.

Dear Craig,

'I have been looking for a book like yours for years.  I have spent way too much money on "plans" that don't work and examples of situations that don't apply to my school.  It was refreshing to read what you have to say and learn your advice...I have one class doing quite well.  It has been a better beginning

than ever before.  It is thanks to your realistic approach and the

"high expectations" we hear about but you actually have that have helped me the most…

So, thanks again for a great, fantastic book that really should be a part of every building's professional and new teacher development.'

Sincerely,

Barbara J.

Mr. Seganti,

'Your book was the single best thing I have ever read

on classroom discipline.'
